Live Free and Tri is one of our favorite races! The course is set in scenic Freedom, NH on Ossipee Lake which provides gorgeous mountain vistas. Brody and Chase competed in the sprint duathlon which consisted of a 2 mile run, a 10.83 mile bike, and a 3.1 mile run. Volunteering on the bike course, Mom and Dad were able to cheer for Brody and Chase as they approached the end of their bike ride. Gavin positioned himself on the course to take pics of Brody and Chase while biking and running. Fifteen athletes competed in this du. Brody placed third overall; Chase placed seventh. Managing speed and power on this mountainous course affords Brody and Chase opportunities to hone their racing skills. Additionally, the whole family enjoys the growing camaraderie among other athletes. Regular encouragement and friendly competition provide another beneficial aspect of racing!
